Yes, They Are Spider Lilies and there are more...
Seems that they are spider lilies indeed. They originate in Japan and some Middle Eastern countries. Guess that is why they are drought friendly. I linked the photos to their web source. There are just so many pretty ones...

What's Blooming at the Cottage???
Anyone know what this lovely flower is? I kind of think it might be from the lily family. They come up in late summer just here and there in the yard. The little old lady that owned this cottage before me probably planted them in the 1950s. They are a shrimp red in color, darker than pink, but not quite real red. No leaves, just a stem. They bloom for about a week. Anyone know what they are called?

Thanks and hope Y'all have a Groovy Saturday!!
And the Winner is...
...Claudette. She purchased this pillow, well, minus the poms and fashioned as a 18" square pillowcover. She purchased the 500th item from my shop and scored another piece of this coveted fabric for framing! Thanks to Claudette and all my other customers and friends that have promoted my shop! Happy Saturday!!

Animal Cracker Pillows
Remember animal crackers - they came in a small paper box with a wide string handle. Lots of animals on their way to the circus on the sides of the box! There was a wax paper inside that unfolded to reveal lots of animal shaped crackers. We used to take them out of the box and lay them out and sometimes even eat them one limb at a time - LOL! I was recently inspired by a vintage bedspread that I found on etsy to create these Animal Cracker Pillows...

What I did instead...
...well, I was supposed to paint the studio this weekend, even took Thursday and Friday off to have extra time. Had a sick headache for two days and ended up making some pillows and working in my shops instead. Oh, well, there's always next weekend! I did make some lavender sachets - they smell wonderful...
