Time to Make The Pillows...

... since we are sort of "snowed-in". Georgia just shuts down when the snow and ice come - the last time it was like this was 1993, on my birthday. I will never forget it - Mr. CatNap got in his four-wheel drive and went to pick up my birthday cake from a friend who made it for me! Anywho...no birthday or cake today, but I am thankful for the stacks of sacks that I have in my studio, so I have had my nose down to my faithful Singer and my pedal to the metal (well, really, it is carpet) and have cranked out a few more for the shop. Hope everyone is staying warm! And thanks for stopping in today!

Chicken Feed Pillows

I recently made these pillows for Kevin - he describes himself as a southerner stuck in New England - I just cannot believe how well they go in his space! Wow! I love it when I get to see where my pillows go!!! Thanks for sharing your space with us Kevin!

Domestic Grainsack Pillows

I am just enamored with vintage grainsacks, especially the heavy duty ones that were found in barns - some I purchased came with a few seeds of grain in the bottom of them. If they could only talk, they would tell of trips to the mill and days spent in the barn and who knows what else. It brings me such delight to clean and repair them as needed, and repurpose them into pillows. They just bring such character to a room - my living room is full of them, but you probably already knew that! :-) Here are a few of these soft and durable beauties...

These, along with others, are listed in my shop. Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Home Alabama

One of my pillows has a new home in Alabama. Ginger, at deepfriedkudzu.com was so excited about it that she made a blog post! It really tickles me when buyers love my pillows! She has a fabulous chair that it is sitting in. Take a look! Thanks, Ginger!
