from Sugar and Spicewell... mostly Irish, with a little German, English and some Cherokee Indian thrown in. I definitely have the Irish skin and I hated that when I was a teen. No tanning for me, just sunburns and freckles. But I don't know another people that are more hardworking, loyal and patriotic than Irish folks. And they know how to throw a party!
I had the opportunity to be in Boston, Mass. on March 17th about 20 years ago and had the traditional Irish meal of Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes and Coffee Pudding at a famous restaurant there. It was good but being a southern girl, I couldn't understand why they boiled everything. See, down south, we fry everything, or used to anyway! Even got to see a parade with more red headed people than I had ever seen in one place!
