American Limoges China - Chateau France

i recently found this lovely american limoges china

chateau france is the pattern

limoges china is named after the place it was made originally

limoges, france

from what i read, they stopped making it in 1930

manufacturers were already making it in the usa

hence the name, american limoges

22k gold filigree

beautiful countryside design

i found plates, soup bowls, smaller bowls, serving bowls

a creamer, gravy boat, saucers. it's all so beautiful!

this would be perfect for someone who does events or for a wedding as most of the pieces are plates in different sizes (only 2 dinner plates, but they would be great for platters), bowls, salad plates, smaller plates, saucers and the creamer and gravy boat for sauces. they are in fabulous condition - i will probably list them on etsy, but it is a big hassle shipping breakables - maybe i will list them for local pick up only. i wish i could keep them, but you would laugh at me if you saw all the dishes that i already have! thanks for stopping in - hope y'all have a fabulous weekend! xx c

Vintage Pillow Ticks

and the time change. What is it that we love so much about getting an extra hour when we "fall back" our clocks. Is it that there is one more hour in the day that we have to mark more things off our "to do" list or is it that we might get a bit more sleep? I don't know, but I sure am sleepy today. Got up earlier than usual - 4:45am. Thought it was six, so I did some laundry, sewed a pillow or two, checked my shops and straightened up a bit, all before going to work at 9:00. It is 1:30 and it feels like bedtime! LOL! And making this post about these lovely vintage pillow ticks is not helping me much. Wish I could just dive into the middle of them all for a nap....

These are listed in my shop. Thanks for stopping by and Sweet Dreams!

Southern Belle Lamp

Imagine my delight when I turned the corner and there she sat, looking so pleasantly at me! I fell in love instantly! Can you tell? From the top of her tulle crown shade to the bottom of her white tiered ruffled skirt. She is 100% Southern Belle - even wearing gloves with one hand over her heart as if to say "Oh My!". How sweet and adorable she is! Well, I paid too much for her, hence the price, but there was no decision to be made, it just happened - really fast. No buyer's remorse here. She can just sit at the cottage until someone else falls in love with her and I ship her away. Thanks for stopping by and hope y'all have a great weekend!!

Shabby Chic Vintage China

I was out of town this past weekend, so I missed the Dixie Highway Yardsale - over 100 miles of yard sales. I was just itchin' to go "junkin" and I did manage to find a smaller version of it in South Georgia - from Pavo to Boston. Tiny little towns with no McDonalds, mostly just country, cows and fresh veggies for sale. I did score this vintage china in the Hostess Pattern by Gold Castle. I believe it is from the 1940s. This set has a wonderful "shabby chic" look to it, nicely worn. Too bad the teacups were chippy, but I just love the rose pattern, the gold trim and the pink and yellow...

4 Salad/Dessert Plates

2 Dinner Plates

1 Perfect Sugar Bowl

4 Saucers
These are for sale in my shop - I will combine the shipping! Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Coverlet - Crocheted Roses

I worked at the cottage some today, taking pics of things, trying to list items in my shop. Really, the housekeepers are coming tomorrow, so I was trying to get all my stuff stuffed into closets so they could have a path for the vacuum - LOL. I ran across this vintage coverlet that I purchased a while back and I just got so excited about it, how it looked, with all those crocheted roses - 220 of them. And how it looked on the bed. It has this wonderful 8" crocheted trim around three of the edges and the other edge just tucks under your pillows. I believe it to be completely handmade - Can you imagine the time it would take to do that?? The edges just looked so pretty hanging over the side of the bed. Just had to share with you gals...
