True Southern Hospitality

Just got home from a two day trip to the 1842 Inn in Macon Georgia. It is an antebellum mansion turned into a B&B. Just the most gorgeous antiques, rugs, floors, walls, fireplaces... that I have ever seen! The original house was built in 1842 (hence the name) by John Gresham (lawyer, cotton merchant and mayor of Macon). The service and hospitality was the best we have ever experienced, a true glimpse into days gone by and southern hospitality. Everything from breakfast in our room, in the parlor or garden, or just where ever we wanted it served and whatever time we wanted it served to the hot choc chip cookies delivered with a pot of decaf coffee after dinner. Take a few minutes and look at the virtual tour and do pop in if you are in Macon, they would love to show you around and give you a bit of history!!
